Hollywood is a BIG industry with more actors and actresses than we could imagine. Not everyone succeeds in this field, but there are the few ones who are able to make a name for themselves–and Jenna Ortega has launched herself as one of them.

At the young age of nine, Jenna started her acting career that would soon take the entertainment world by a whirlwind with a cameo role in the series "The Baby Bug." Jenna has also made exceptional performances in Disney projects, such as her role as Harley in the sitcom "Stuck in the Middle," but it was her role in the series "Jane the Virgin" as the young version of Jane, the protagonist, that she began to show beyond doubt that she is an actress with great potential. Following that, she starred as Ellie in the hit series "You" in 2019, where she proved that she got a knack for thrillers, horror, and supernatural genres, which she also showed in her role as Lorraine in the 2022 movie "X."
Being a female actress of Mexican and Puertorican descent in a male and white-dominated industry, Jenna knows the struggle to succeed in the field of acting, but it was also her heritage that gave her the push to audition for a role that will make her the hottest and one of the most anticipated actresses of this generation. Jenna Ortega stamped her mark as a superstar with her iconic performance in the Netflix supernatural-comedy series "Wednesday" as the ever-woeful Wednesday Addams. The series is a spinoff of Tim Burton's sensational creation "The Addams Family" focusing on character Wednesday. Jenna Ortega captured Wednesday's unique and fascinatingly morbid personality making an impression that she was meant to play this role. She even showcased her skills in dancing that went viral on several social media platforms like TikTok.
Until now, I'm still having the last-song syndrome of Lady Gaga's Bloody Mary and Wednesday's dance moves replaying over and over in my head! "Wednesday" has been recently renewed by Netflix, and I couldn't wait to see her performance in the upcoming season. We can't get enough of her, and I'm sure she got a lot more to show–although she has already proven that she has what it takes to be a prominent figure not only in pop culture but also in the business of film and television.
