After Alice in Borderland Season 1 received huge support and praise from its watchers, it’s back on Netflix for season two. With higher difficulty games, players are now against face cards–jack, queen, and king–of every card symbol: diamond, spade, heart, and clubs. Set in an alternate reality, the players aim to finish the remaining games to seek answers to their situation. Why are they forced to participate in brutal survival games where their lives are on the line? Will they be able to return to their previous lives or be stuck in dystopia?

Alice in Borderland Season 2 sustains the thrill and action-packed episodes that Netflix viewers expect. As soon as the official trailer was posted in early December of 2022, the excitement for the new season quickly spread on the internet. After two years, the netizens are finally getting new content from the popular series. Starting December 22, 2022, Alice in Borderland Season 2 is available worldwide on Netflix. Surely, you can’t miss it!

Featuring the same main character from the first season, Arisu, portrayed by Kento Yamazaki, shows striking emotions from the trailer, leaving high expectations for what the second season has to offer. From the trailer, Arisu asks, “what exactly is this crazy game?” With that, fans just can’t wait to know about the games’ truth too. Lots of running, gigantic card frames suspended from a floating submarine, gunpoints and gunshots–there really is plenty to unpack in the new season.

Originally from a manga, the series follows various competitions that test the limits and wits of the characters. For every card game, there is a specialty. Clubs are for teamwork, spades are for physical abilities, diamonds are for mental sharpness, and hearts are for emotional perception. Imagine what games await from every king and queen of each card. Our curiosity feeds us what more mental stimulation or emotional turmoil the players will go through.

Branded by Netflix as dark and suspenseful, make time for one of the best Japanese live action TV series. Find out who’s behind the games, or among all the interesting characters with their respective strengths, choose which one is your favorite. Would it be Usagi, the mountain-climber love interest of Arisu, or Chishiya, the silent and cunning lone wolf? There’s only one way to find out: head to Netflix and start watching!
